Radium Winter Wilderness Tour
Trip Length 1.5 Hours
Join us for this one of a kind winter experience. After parking just follow the signs to our training course area to meet your awesome guide. After a short training session, your professional guide will lead you through the picturesque trail system located along the Kootenay National Park border. The tour crosses a variety of terrain and you’ll make some stops along the way for photos and interpretation. No experience is required for this fun off-road adventure. Make sure you dress warm and are prepared to be outside for 1.5 Hours in winter conditions.
Please note that tours are subject to weather and trail conditions. Scootin’ Kootenay Tours reserves the right to cancel or postpone tours if conditions are not suffice. Refunds will be issued accordingly with this policy.

When Can I go on a Tour?
Tours are offered at multiple times daily. Advanced Booking is recommended to ensure you get the date and tour time you prefer.
What’s the Age and Weight Restriction?
All riders must weigh between 100lbs and 260lbs. We have no age restriction.

Where do I go for my tour?
Tours Depart from Radius Retreat, located in Radium Hot Springs, BC. Please meet there 20 minutes before your tour and check in with our staff at the SegwayPT Basecamp.
What if I’m nervous to ride a SegwayPT?
Don’t be! Our guides train and facilitate riders every day, so you are in good hands. Give it a try! On the rare occasion that a guest is still nervous after safety training, we will refund 50% of the tour cost.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
No problem. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the tour departs with no penalty.
Private Group Bookings Cancellation Policy?
When you reserve a Private Group tour, we schedule our highly trained guides and support staff to make your SegwayPT adventure as amazing as possible. For this reason we require 7 days notice for cancellations and rescheduling of tours. If you fail to meet your appointment, we still incur the same expenses and may have turned others away. Therefore, those guests who fail to show for a reservation or cancel without proper notice will be charged the full tour price for the reserved spaces.
What if its cold outside?
We will run tours in temperatures down to -10 Celsius. Our SegwayPT devices are designed for snowy conditions. Please dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared to be outside for up to 1.5 Hours. We will cancel or postpone tours is the weather conditions make it unsafe. Mountain weather is as unpredictable as any other place, so rest assured you will not be charged if Mother Nature tells us the tour cannot safely depart. Please call first if you have concerns about the weather. We are constantly monitoring the radar when weather looks threatening and we will call only if we are certain your tour will not run.
What if there is severe Weather
We will run tours in light rain. The SegwayPT is just as waterproof as any other vehicle. We will not run tours in hazardous storms with thunder and lightning. Mountain weather is as unpredictable as any other place, so rest assured you will not be charged if Mother Nature tells us the tour cannot safely depart. Please call first if you have concerns about the weather. We are constantly monitoring the radar when weather looks threatening and we will call only if we are certain your tour will not run. Frequently, thunder storms blow over quickly and we are able to depart a few minutes after the scheduled time.
